Michel DeLisle’s career spans turnout gear and tent cities—firehouse shifts at home and humanitarian deployments abroad. For more than three decades, she has served communities through emergency response, leadership development, and disaster relief. At RSI, she draws on frontline experience and organizational insight to help partners build sustainable, people-centered resilience.
A retired Firefighter/Paramedic Lieutenant with the Wauwatosa Fire Department and former Health & Safety Captain with North Prairie Volunteer Fire Department, Michel shaped programs from car-seat safety to strategic planning and remains a lifetime member. Her disaster work includes deployments to Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, Gustav, and Isaac, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. She has delivered training in disaster preparedness, NIMS, hospital evacuation, and leadership for nonprofit and government partners.
Founder of the nonprofit From Our Village, Michel’s philosophy is simple: resilience begins with people helping people—and grows through training, trust, and service.
