Response Systems, Inc (R-S-I) is actively recruiting individuals and teams to assist with disaster response operations on the US Gulf Coast. Our teams support the work of: healthcare facility evacuations, management of State, EMAC, and Federal assets and resources including staffing for medical special needs shelters. R-S-I seeks licensed/certified Physicians, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, EMS professionals, Nurse Assistants, personal care assistants, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, other support staff, and experienced first responders. These are paid positions.

R-S-I has been providing hospital evacuation management and assistance along the Gulf Coast since 2007. Hundreds of staff will be needed to support various client missions. While we understand that not all staff will be able to activate for every call-up, we desire serious minded applicants. You may be required to confirm that you have the ability to respond which may include you notifying your present employer about this opportunity. Our missions are 2 -7 days of onsite duration. Bonus payments may be available for longer missions.

All notifications are managed by web based electronic systems utilizing your current e-mail, cell phone, land line and/or pager. Upon acceptance of call up, you will receive an assignment, travel arrangements, and Job Action Sheet (JAS) or Just-In-Time Training preparing you to understand and manage the tasks assigned to you. The R-S-I Logistics and Planning Sections will arrange for all ground/air travel and lodging; your supervisor will manage/arrange for meals. Some positions may require the need to work in a mobile environment. In those instances, the R-S-I staffer may need to pay for some meals and lodging. R-S-I will provide as much logistical support as possible and of course reimburse you for any expenses paid.

As a member of our Strike Team, you will receive general orientation to the company mission descriptions, and policies/procedures utilized in supporting the missions. Pay scales are dependent upon experience, certifications, and role or position. Desired candidates will also possess the following:

  • EMS &/or Emergency Management &/or Medical
  • Credential/license/certification and a minimum required amount of experience
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Documentation Skills
  • Ability to respond to primary airport with in 4 hours. Some limited exceptions possible.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • ICS 100, 200, and 700 certifications
  • Preferred – ICS 300 and 400
